Skaldic Contest Rules and Info
Come and enjoy the annual ECT Skaldic Competition!
Every year, the Friday night of ECT, folks gather at the main fire pit and enjoy the Skaldic Competition. Participation is open to everyone. You can be an entertained audience member or a put your self forward and share your talent with the community. This year, due to the anniversary concert directly following, we will have a sign up sheet at registration and offer limited slots for competition. No one will be “turned away” necessarily, but we need to keep the timing on this year’s competition as tight as possible.
There are separate prizes for spoken-word, musical, and performance entries. Prizes are awarded by a panel of volunteer judges. Entries may be original works, but don’t need to be. You can perform as an individual or as part of a group. There is no need to stress over what to wear, whether you should wear the green tunic with the gold trim or the cocktail dress with the red sneakers. This isn’t the Skald Olympics or Skalding With The Stars. Just show up and have some fun with us!
If you have any questions or comments, please contact Ristandi at Ristandi@myfairpoint.net.

Congratulations, and thanks to everyone who participated, competitors and audience alike.
